Membership

Canadians for Accountability accepts all Canadians as members. Membership information is kept confidential, with the exception of elected officials and corporate members who opt to make their memberships public.

Memberships are valid for one year - you will be sent an e-mail at the end of your first year and each year you remain a member thereafter, reminding you to renew.

There are two types of membership:

  • Single Membership: comes with a laminated membership card ($30)
  • Corporate Membership: comes with a certificate ($250)

In order to make ordering a membership as easy as possible, we use PayPal. It's secure and safe. Please make sure to include your address so we can forward your membership to you.

Note that you do not need to have a PayPal membership to buy the membership this way. When you get to the PayPal page, just scroll down and click on "continue".

New Branches

Although Canadians for Accountability has members across Canada, we currently only have one formal branch - in Ottawa. We hope to change this, creating branches in all regions. The minimum number of persons to create a local branch, we believe, should be aroundfour or five. If you or a group of like-minded friends wish to start a local branch, please contact us at info@canadians4accountability.org.

Donations

We welcome donations to our cause. Rest assured that the funds provided will be used to support the whistleblowing cause. As we are a volunteer organization, funds go to our operations, which are designed to help Canadian whistleblowers and advance accountability in Canada.

Donor information is kept confidential, with the exception of elected officials and corporate members who opt to make their memberships public. For those who opt in, we will have a "Major Supporters and Donors" page to highlight those who have contributed more than $500.

In order to make donation as easy as possible, we use PayPal. It's secure and safe. Please make sure to include your address so we can forward your membership to you.

Note that you do not need to have a PayPal membership to make the donation this way. When you get to the PayPal page, just scroll down and click on "continue".

Alternately, send your donation by mail. Please provide a return address. Our address is:

Canadians for Accountability
532 Montreal Road
Suite 221
Ottawa ON K1K 4R4

Please note that Canadians for Accountability is a non-profit organization. However, as we are involved in advocacy, we are not a charitable organization and cannot provide tax receipts.

Volunteer Support

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist us in establishing our organization. In particular, we are currently seeking support for the translation of our website and the provision of fully bilingual services. If you are interested, please contact us by e-mail at info@canadians4accountability.org, letting us know your interests, availability and aptitudes.

In-kind Support

As we are a new organization, we are also seeking support in establishing an office and in the provision of services. Our wish list includes:

  • Office space in Ottawa
  • Meeting space in Ottawa
  • Furniture
  • Computer equipment
  • Office supplies

If you are have something to donate, please contact us by e-mail at info@canadians4accountability.org.
